From "another email"
to "done".
A short list of jobs, each with the child, the date the letter gives and the letter itself one tap away.
School Buddy reads the school's emails, the PDF letters and ClassCharts, and turns them into a short list of jobs, each one linked to the letter it came from.
Born in a real family. Now in a small private pilot.
Good evening.
"Please return the consent form by Friday 9 October." The date is in the letter, so it stays.
The reader suggested a closing date the letter never gave, so it was removed. School Buddy never makes up a date.
One decision per job, with the letter one tap away. Try ticking one.
Kit days come from your school's own letters, used only once you tap "Use it".
Wed 14 Oct, from a school letter
26 to 30 Oct, from the term dates you confirmed
A date the letter doesn't give stays missing. It is never guessed.
Jobs, Bag and Dates are all live in the pilot.
Three simple views, built around what you actually need to do, for every child and every school.
A short list of jobs, each with the child, the date the letter gives and the letter itself one tap away.
The kit for each day, from your school's own routine, Week A or Week B, clubs included.
Term dates, half terms and INSET days found in the school's letters, plus the dates from your jobs.
An AI that reads school mail is easy to build. One you can rely on at 7:40 in the morning is not. This is what we do differently.
Every date, amount and link in a job must appear in the school's letter. Anything else is removed, and the job says "check this against the letter".
Trip letters, term booklets, club lists. If a PDF is a scan it cannot read, it says so instead of pretending the letter was empty.
Mail that claims to be from your school but isn't signed by it is set aside. Jobs never carry bank details: pay through the school's usual system.
Week A and Week B, kit days and term dates, in your school's own words. Found in the letters, used only when you tap "Use it".
Homework becomes a job for your child, and closes when it's ticked off in ClassCharts. Optional, and off until you connect it.
Gmail is read-only and searched only for your schools. Disconnect in one tap. Your children's names are never sent to the AI.
Nothing to move across: School Buddy works alongside your school's own app and ClassCharts, and you can leave and delete your family at any time.
It began as a tool for one household. We're now opening it, carefully, to a few more families.
Sign in with an email link. Add your children by first name or nickname, their schools and year groups.
Connect Gmail with read-only access, and ClassCharts if your school uses it.
Each letter is read on its own, checked against the original, and turned into jobs you can act on.
Tomorrow's kit and the term ahead, built from the routine and term dates you confirm.
School life is personal. School Buddy is built around limited access, family boundaries and plain explanations. Read the privacy page.
Gmail gives read access to your inbox. School Buddy only searches for your schools' senders and never sends, changes or deletes mail.
Names, school email content and Gmail access are encrypted with a key for your family alone.
A first name or a nickname is enough. We never ask for surnames, birth dates, photos or health information.
School Buddy is in a small private pilot. Join the waiting list and we'll email you when there's a place for your family.
The pilot supports a short list of schools. Tell us yours on the waiting list: that's how we choose which schools come next.
Gmail today, with read-only access. Outlook and forwarding your school mail to us are planned.
Because the details have to be right. School Buddy never invents a date, reads the PDF letters, sets aside forged mail and keeps your school's own week A and B. There's nothing to move across, and you can try it alongside what you use now.
That's planned. For now one parent sets up the family and sees the jobs.
No. If a letter doesn't give a date, the job says so and asks you to check the letter. If it couldn't read an attachment, it tells you to open it.
Join the waiting list and tell us your school. We're opening School Buddy a few families at a time.
